Project Name

Cadbury Chocolate Experience Centre, Hobart

Background & Experience

Located within the historic Cadbury factory precinct at Claremont, the Cadbury Chocolate Experience Centre reimagines one of Tasmania’s most iconic heritage sites as an immersive, experience-led destination. The project celebrates Cadbury’s enduring connection to Tasmania through a curated journey that blends storytelling, interactive environments and hands-on participation. Visitors are guided through a sequence of themed experiences exploring the origins, craft and enjoyment of chocolate, supported by hospitality, retail and family-friendly amenities. Designed as an interpretive and sensory experience rather than a traditional factory tour, the centre creates a place-based destination that connects heritage, landscape and contemporary visitor engagement.

Scope of Services

Gallagher Jeffs was appointed as Project Manager and Superintendent, providing leadership across the full project lifecycle. Our role encompassed project governance and strategic advisory services, coordination of planning approvals and authority interfaces, and management of the design process through design development. We led procurement and tender processes and, during delivery, undertook superintendent services to oversee quality, programme and cost outcomes, while coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders to support successful project execution.
