Background
Sterling Global, a leading Australian property development group focused on delivering premium projects in Melbourne, has acquired the prominent site at 623 Collins Street. The project comprises a 40-storey mixed-use tower delivering 320 luxury apartments, set above a heritage podium that integrates three significant heritage buildings, including the former State Savings Bank and Batman’s Hill Hotel.
The development also incorporates commercial and retail space, with a total gross floor area of 41,000 sqm and provision for 120 car parks. Positioned at the western end of Collins Street, the project will create a landmark residential tower while celebrating and revitalising Melbourne’s historic architectural fabric.
Scope of Service
Gallagher Jeffs was initially appointed to manage the engagement of consultants, oversee design coordination, and prepare the town planning submission in collaboration with the appointed town planner.
Following approval, Gallagher Jeffs has continued to lead the project through the subsequent design phases, facilitating the procurement of a Design & Construct contractor and providing superintendent services to administer the construction contract.
