Background
Since 1994, Kingscliff Campus has delivered educational programs and support services to the Tweed Valley and surrounding communities. A $30 million investment was committed to upgrade existing facilities and deliver two new purpose-built buildings to support expanding curriculum needs.
Refurbishment Works
Refurbishment works enhancement to classrooms and upgrades to amenities and services, ensuring spaces remain adaptable to evolving course requirements.
Learning Hub
The ~1,800sqm Learning Hub features wet and dry laboratories for Animal Studies, specialised spaces for Design & Fashion and Photography, tailored spaces for Aviation including x-ray and cabin simulator as well as facilities for Electrotechnology program. The building also incorporated technology (AV) to assist with their delivery.
Construction & Horticultural Building
Construction & Horticultural Building This ~800sqm building was constructed to accommodate practical training in forklift operations along with a dedicated pit for Construction and storage areas to support Horticultural training program.
Scope of Service
GJ was engaged to deliver project management and superintendent services to the project. Our services included, master planning, programming, procurement, coordination of consultants, chairing PCGs, advice on buildability, facilitating the preparation of further costs plans as designed is developed, attendance at design meetings, project governance and defect management. Both phases were delivered under a NSW GC21 contract and under live working environments which required phasing of works and coordination with the Campus on all exterior works.
