Background
Located in the highly desirable Eastern Suburbs, just 6km south- east of Sydney's bustling CBD, lies Newmarket - a property surrounded by esteemed educational institutions and prominent hospitals, including the University of NSW, Randwick Boys and Randwick Girls High Schools, Rainbow Street Primary School, Prince of Wales, Royal Children’s Hospital, and Sydney Women’s Hospital.
With the successful completion of Stage 1 in 2020 and Stage 2 currently underway and due for completion in mid-2024, CBUS are negotiating lump sum pricing with Multiplex for Stage 3 construction works. Stage 3 will consist of two new buildings, N1 and N2, designed by SJB and Bastes Smart, respectively. Building N1 will feature three buildings with varying levels, yielding 111 apartments, 2,300sqm of retail space, a 1,000sqm supermarket, and a 2-level basement carpark. Building N2 will comprise 42 residences, including 27 apartments, 6 terraces, and 9 townhomes, with an internal landscaped common courtyard tying the various typographies together.
Scope of Service
Gallagher Jeffs was appointed to undertake the role of Superintendent during the construction phase of the project, to ensure Cbus's best interests are represented and the contractual obligations are met by each party.
