Cladding Rectification - 130 Pitt Street

BACKGROUND

Positioned in the heart of the CBD between Martin Place and Pitt Street Mall, 130 Pitt Street is a mixed use property with prime retail on the lower two floors and 13 floors of office space. To attract new tenants and luxury retailers, MEC has commissioned alterations and additions to the building which include:
  • Installation of new GRC façade and removal of ACP at the Pitt Street elevation to tie in with the surrounding heritage architecture;
  • New FJMT designed lobby including timber batten feature ceiling, mesh curtain centrepiece, informal and formal meeting areas and coffee station/servery;
  • Re-alignment of the ground floor & mezzanine retail tenancies to cater for high end retail tenants;
  • Adjustment to Pitt street awning;
  • Re-configuration of existing carpark;New food and beverage zone to cater for the foot traffic from the MLC centre through to Pitt St; 
  • and New end of trip and bike storage facilities.

SCOPE OF SERVICE 

GJ was appointed as project manager to manage the design development and authority approval process, close out head contractor appointment, and oversee the project’s construction phase as project manager and superintendent
