PROJECT BACKGROUND
The redevelopment of the 13,200sqm Northbank Goods Shed site and construction of a new mixed-use development will comprise of 5 star hotel and private dwellings. The hotel operator selected was1 Hotel. Each 1 Hotel is designed to highlight the beauty of nature, fusing luxury with sustainability and environmental responsibility, with a focus on local sourcing and the communities in which it operates. The wharf section is the last stretch of real estate in the precinct, with a proposed 51,000sqm GFA development incorporating; 150 high-end owner-occupied residential apartments, 5 star hotel with 280 keys, retail, commercial and function hall offering premium waterfront event space.
The project integrates into the Northbank and Yarra edge interfacing with the existing heritage buildings, entertainment and recreation precinct with the Sea Fearers Rest public park (3,500sqm), extensive public works and an active riverfront flowing along an upgraded wharf structure and historic crane refurbishment all incorporated and adding to this unique development to be crowned by a 700sqm roof top event space.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Gallagher Jeffs has been commissioned to act as the project representative to; coordinate design for the preparation of marketing material, manage the preparation of pre-sale documentation, oversee design documentation, manage the tender process and administer the contract as the Superintendent.

The project has recently won planning approval.
