PROJECT BACKGROUND
Marriott International are re-launching the colourful Le Meridien Hotel brand in Australia within the former Palace Theatre, at the top end of Bourke St in Melbourne. The hotel will feature 235 keys, a 90-seat dining restaurant, 210sqm of function space, bars and a heated swimming pool and will be characterised by the brand’s European mid-century style.
The hotel will be developed Jinshan Investment Group who have signed a management agreement with Marriot International.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Gallagher Jeffs have been engaged by Jinshan Investment Group to drive the project from pre-construction works through to completion. There’s a great degree of complexity to the project, due to access constraints and preservation of the buildings heritage which includes the art deco façade, which was originally built in 1912.
