Gallagher Jeffs wins Australian Institute of Project Management Award

The Australian Institute of Project Management AIPM exists to recognise, honour, and promote outstanding achievements in program and project leadership. In its 21st year, the awards program celebrated excellence across 13 categories, with finalists scrutinised by over 50 judges from the industry.

Ballarat Govhub secured first place in the Government category, recognising the exceptional efforts of the Gallagher Jeffs team. Director in Charge, Andy Isherwood, attributes the success of the project to the diligent and collaborative efforts of our repeat client Development Victoria and the broader project team.

Located at the redeveloped Civic Hall site in the heart of Ballarat, the new $120 million GovHub is catalyst for job creation and economic growth. Centralising the delivery of a range of government services, the five-storey commercial development provides a contemporary workplace for up to 1000 public servants and a hub for local activity.

Appointed as Project Manager, Gallagher Jeffs steered the project through a number of challenges to protect programme, budget and delivery quality. From extensive latent conditions, state-wide lockdowns and global supply chain disruption, Gallagher Jeffs managed the Project though previously unprecedented obstacles while serving the best interests of stakeholders, end users and the community.
