Michelle Coupar – Celebrating Five Years of Outstanding Success at Gallagher Jeffs

Michelle Coupar’s success within the building industry was always meant to be. Setting her sights on a career in construction from a young age, she’s never deviated from her plan to make her mark in this profession. From the five-year-old who frequented building sites with her Dad, to the teen who’d happily spend her school holidays working in her step-mum’s construction company to the full-time university student balancing full-time work, she’s cemented her place as a leader in this male-dominated sector.

Since joining Gallagher Jeffs in 2018, Michelle has delivered almost $600M in education, residential, commercial and hospitality projects. Notably, these include:

  • $143M Panorama Box Hill project
  • $100M Regional Government Agency Development
  • Taking the lead in the VSBA (Victorian School Building Authority) commission - a package of three complex education projects.

As a testament to Michelle’s tenacity, patience and proactive professionalism, she rose swiftly through the ranks to a Project Director role and shareholder in the business. She leads by example and consistently overcomes obstacles, risks and opportunities with a positive mindset to ensure targets are met and clients are impressed.

Celebrating and supporting women in construction is important to Michelle, too. She is sought out in the industry to nurture other females in their career and is a proud ambassador for Gallagher Jeffs in the public sphere. This includes attending events like the University of Melbourne Construction Students Association (CSA) Industry Night, meeting with graduates, and sharing insights on best industry practices, job opportunities and her pathway to success.

Today, as we celebrate Michelle’s five year tenure at Gallagher Jeffs, it shows that when you combine dedication and professionalism with hard work and perseverance, there are no limits to what you can achieve.
