The prestigious 90 level Eureka Tower building, dominates Melbourne’s skyline and consists of 550 apartments, approx 1,000 car parks, observation deck/upper function level and 6 luxurious penthouse floors.
Scope of services
Gallagher Jeff’s role in this high profile development was the interpretation of the Principal’s requirements, against the developing design controlled by the builder. Gallagher Jeffs also filled the role of the Contract Superintendent with increased duties in relation to the determination of all contentious issues between the Contractor and the Developer. The role included administering the complex design and construct contract and the auditing of the contractors program status and performance. It also included a variety of tasks including monitoring the quality assurance, and performance testing process and the final commissioning and handover of the building. At completion, Eureka Tower was the tallest residential building in the world.
