A4LE's 2016 Awards - Working with the Best

Earlier this year, four of the schools Gallagher Jeffs worked with were recognised for excellence in learning environments at this year's Learning Environments Australasia awards, announced in May. Of the 6 main winners over 6 categories and 1 overall winner, Gallagher Jeffs were proud to work alongside the architectural teams who brought home 3 of the trophies. Category 1 for Entire New School was won by Officer Secondary College by ClarkeHopkinsClarke and Category 5 for Education Innovation was won by The Learning Project for Caulfield Grammar School by Hayball (in association with LEaRN, The University of Melbourne).

Not only did Hayball Architects, Learning Project for Caulfield Grammar School win the Education Innovation category, the project was named the overall winner for 2016.

The Gipson Commons, St Michael’s Grammar School’s by Architectus received a commendation in Category 5, Education Innovation and The Mandeville Centre, at Loreto Mandeville Hall by Architectus were acknowledge in Cateogry 2, Major Construction of a New Facility.

These awards and commendations are a direct result of the combined efforts of all consultants, contractors, designers and school stakeholders involved in creating a better student experience across Australia.
