Geelong Civic Precinct

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The City of Greater Geelong appointed leading property fund manager and developer Quintessential Equity (QE) to create a new Civic Precinct to bring together City staff from seven central Geelong offices in an effort drive collaboration, reduce costs, and future-proof the City’s workplace needs. The multi-building design of the new Civic Precinct includes ~20,000sqm of NLA spread across two commercial towers.

City of Greater Geelong Tower - CoGG The ~10,000sqm CoGG tower has achieved the highest standards of sustainable design with a 5 Star Green Star Design and As-Built Rating as well as a 6 Star NABERS Energy Rating, meeting the City’s environmental aspirations and validating Geelong’s UNESCO City of Design designation.

20 Gheringhap Street The ~11,000sqm PCA A-grade office building will provide next-generaation workplace and will focus on sustainable design, health, wellness and connectivity. It to will target 5 Star Green Star, 6 Star NABERS with GreenPower and WELL Core & Shell.

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES

During the developer selection process, Gallagher Jeffs was appointed to coordinate the project team and contribute to the development submission to council. Following the successful appointment of QE, Gallagher Jeffs has been commissioned to drive the project through the consultant appointment, design and head contractor tender and appointment phases. During construction, Gallagher Jeffs provided superintendent services through to completion.
