Kathmandu is leading the charge not only in the retail world of quality outdoor gear but in the distribution arena where they team upped with tech company “Dematic” who helped Kathmandu develop a large distribution centre in Truganina, Melbourne delivering the latest in supply chain technology. Dematic’s technology assists Kathmandu sort and deliver high volumes of stock accurately to its network of 115 stores and growing online domestic and international customer base.
Scope of Services
As long term client, Gallagher Jeffs has developed and established a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with DEXUS Property Group, providing project management services from design development through construction and final handover. Gallagher Jeffs were also appointed as the Independent Consultant in accordance with the Agreement to Lease with the tenant (Kathmandu).
OUTCOME
Achieved 5 star As-Built Rating – GBCA / Managed the cost to meet the budget / Assisted in resolving detailed issues with alternative solutions / Managed defects to ensure they are completed on time / administered the Agreement to Lease and D&C Contract to ensure all obligations from all parties were met within the clauses and time frames allocated. The 25,000sqm Truganina DC went live in the third quarter of 2016.
