The Toll development at Karawatha provides a new depot facility for Toll as a consequence of the business outgrowing its current operations in Brisbane.
The facility consists of a major depot/at-grade “cross dock” over 36,000sm2, truck trailer / car parks (70,000sqm), two level operations office within the depot(2,000sqm), separate two level main office (3,500sqm), forklift maintenance shed (80sqm) and also a truck maintenance facility that has been specially designed to service and repair trucks and trailers.
ESD elements have been installed for water harvesting / recycling and reduction of carbon by use of high efficiency light fitting and controls as well as solar based hot water systems.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Gallagher Jeffs was engaged to partner with Toll Properties in the management of the project. A large part of our scope was the management of the D&C contractor who was responsible for detailed design, town planning and construction delivery.
The management reporting and communications requirement saw us closely engaged with project’s various stakeholders; The GPT Group (landlord), Toll Property (development manager) and Toll as the end user.
