MELBOURNE’S NEWEST PROPERTY HOT SPOT TO WELCOME STATE-OF-THE-ART TOWERS

2 Wests Road, Maribyrnong

Construction commences for three state-of-the-art residential towers by Orion International Group, ranging from four to 15-storeys in Maribyrnong, Victoria.

Deemed one of Melbourne’s newest property hotspots by market experts, Maribyrnong’s affordability and close proximity to the CBD has seen developers follow suit, as Orion International Group officially commenced construction for state-of-the-art apartments. Orion International Group, Brady Construction and Gallagher Jeffs celebrated the news at the project’s sod turning ceremony last Friday 28th April 2017 on-site at 2 Wests Road, Maribyrnong.

Designed by Doig Architecture and managed by property advisory practice, Gallagher Jeffs, the $50 million Summus towers will offer an exclusive lifestyle collection of 183 diverse residences, accompanied by privileged views across Melbourne’s dynamic inner regions and city skyline. The 3,871m2 site strategically sits within the Highpoint Activity Centre and occupies a prominent position at a three-way intersection; the towers designed in direct response to the visual axis. While the taller tower’s façade carefully draws the eye upwards, a semi-circular forecourt excised from the podium emphases the entrance.

Maribyrnong has become a focal point for Orion International Group, with Summus one of two projects in the suburb that has experienced double digit house median growth year-on-year. Orion International Group Director, Sean Li, said, “Demand for apartments in the Maribyrnong area continues to push ahead of supply, and we are aiming to offer Melburnians a fresh perspective on urban life via an exclusive collection of townhouses and apartments encircling private gardens.”

Gallagher Jeffs Director, Rob Purdue, who has overseen the development said, “We’re delighted to have assisted Orion International on this journey. The development reaffirms the appetite for good product in Melbourne’s west and the official sod turning has all stake holders excited at what’s to come.”
