Flight Centre's HQ

The Sky's the Limit

Flight Centre's HQ

Located at Anthony John Groups $590M Emporium Southpoint development in South Brisbane, Flight Centres new HQ stands to re-define the benchmark of vibrant and connected workplaces.

Creating an insulated self-serviced working environment, the office covers 25,000sqm over 15 levels and incorporates everything inner city workers desire, including gym, café, bathroom amenities, secure bike storage and bar with city views.

Backing onto one of Brisbane's busiest train and bus stations, there is great connectivity for the flight centre team, complemented with the state of the art gym which replaces standard End of Trip facilities.  The fully staffed gym is fitted out with the latest equipment, a full program of classes and personal training sessions, while also providing a sauna, large shower facilities, two masseurs and spray tanning booths.

Clay Novello the Head of Property at Flight Centre said   'the company is always way ahead of the market when it comes to creating great work environments for its staff.  We understand how well designed spaces help create great work culture, a place where people are excited and engaged, eventually this vibe flows onto the customer".

PDT Architects Annie Yang was the head Architect . Through her design, Annie was able to encapsulate the holiday world by creating bespoke individually themed floors dependent on the product staff would sell on that floor and yes, there are two slippery slides which staff can use to get from one floor to another.

The fitout also includes one linear kilometre of curated museum on the history of Flight Centre and its founders Graham Turner (Skroo) and Geoff Harris. The museum is full of humour and the spirit of Flight Centre, work hard, play harder.

Since early 2014, Gallagher Jeffs acted as project partners with Flight Centres property team, who were heavily involved in every aspect of the project.

With a total project investment of $34M and a 10 year lease agreement with the Anthony John Group, this is one of the largest company moves, Brisbane has seen and it was a great outcome for all those involved.
